Adjusting Live Chat operating hours

Adjusting Live Chat operating hours

You can set the days and hours your channel is "open" for live chats. Customers can still initiate chats outside these hours, but they will see your offline chat response. This ensures that their expectations about response times are managed.
This article is about setting hours for an entire channel. But if your channel is divided into departments, you can customize specific hours for each one. Learn more about setting up departments.
To change your channel's operating hours:
  1. Visit Settings > Service Settings.
  2. Toggle the top ribbon to Channels and click the channel you want to adjust.
  3. Toggle Enable Custom Service Hours to On.
  4. Tick the boxes next to the days of the week your channel operates, and adjust the Start Time and End Time. For any days your channel is completely offline, leave that day's checkbox unchecked. Click Save.
