In Breadstack, you can choose which notifications you want to receive about live chats and customize what they look and sound like
To access your notification centre, go to My Account > Notification, the screen will provide the list of customizations you can do.
You’ll see four notification options. Use the toggle to turn any of them on or off :
- New pending chat: Sound alert when a customer messages you, this will help you to not miss any incoming chats from your customers.
- New active message sound: Sound alert when a new message arrives in an active chat. You can choose to hear this notification every three minutes, two minutes, or 30 seconds.
- Customer left sound: Have this toggle on when you want to receive a sound alert when a customer leaves an active chat.
- Unread chat reminder: Sound alert when there is an unread chat in the queue. You can choose to hear this notification every three minutes, two minutes, or 30 seconds.

Instruction on how to adjust the chat notification
To adjust the chat sound notification, you will need to:
Access My Account > Notification.
Toggle on the chat that you wish to have an audio notification.
Once toggle on, you can:
Choose the pre-existing audio record from Breadstack by clicking Select audio.
To have the notification to be repeated, click Repeat notification. There are 6 repetition options: Never, Every 15 seconds, Every 20 seconds, Every 25 seconds, Every 30 seconds and Every Minute.
You can preview how the notification sounds by clicking Test.
If you want to upload your own audio, click Upload audio and select the file from your library to have it uploaded. With this option, you will have to keep in mind for a few notes:
If you want to replace different audio file, you will have to upload another.
Your pre-uploaded will be retained when (1) user turns off notification for that configuration and toggle back on and (2) user toggles audios to a system preconfigured option then toggle back to Upload audio.
The Test option will only work if you choose Upload file and a file has been selected or you have chosen a file from the dropdown of the system.
Click Save on the pop-up notification to finalize.
