Setting up your Shipstation account with Purolator

Purolator, Canada's leading freight and parcel provider, integrates with ShipStation to help Canadian users streamline shipping by obtaining rates, creating labels for domestic and international shipments, and handling regular, dangerous, and special shipments.

How to connect your Purolator 

To enable Purolator to Shipstation, you will need to follow these steps: 
  1. Visit the E-Ship Resource Centre and click Register.
  2. Select the option I want an Activation Key to set up Purolator shipping with my online store 
  3. Fill out the profile information as requested. 
  4. Agree to the terms and conditions, then click Submit registration. 
  5. Check your email for a confirmation email from Purolator. Click the link within the email to open a page to Obtain an Activation Key
  6. Select ShipStation In the Which e-commerce platform is your online store using? drop-down menu. 
  7. Verify that you are the account holder or primary contact person for this Purolator Business account and Submit the form. 
  8. Copy the Purolator Activation key that will appear after you submit the form. 
  9. Open a new tab or browser window and log in to your ShipStation account.
  10. Go to Account Settings
  11. Navigate to Settings > Carriers. 
  12. Click the Your Carrier Accounts tab. 
  13. Click the Add Carrier button. 
  14. Select Purolator and click Connect
  15. Enter your Purolator Account Number and Activation Key, and choose an Account Nickname that you'll use to identify the carrier account in ShipStation. 
  16. Click Connect.

The requirement for Purolator Canada 

Connection Requirements

To integrate Purolator with ShipStation, the following requirements must be met:
  1. ShipStation Account: You must have an active ShipStation account based in either the US or Canada.
  2. Purolator Business Account: You must have an active business account with Purolator.
  3. Purolator Account Details: You will need your Purolator account number and activation key to complete the integration.

Shipment Requirements

When shipping with Purolator through ShipStation, keep the following shipment details in mind:
  1. Standard Weight Limit: The standard weight limit for Purolator shipments is 70 lb.
  2. Special Handling: Shipments weighing over 70 lb will require special handling and will incur an additional surcharge.
  3. Maximum Weight Limit: The maximum allowable weight for any Purolator shipment is 150 lb.
