Matching Cova or Greenline product categories to your website menu

Matching Cova or Greenline product categories to your website menu

On your website, categories and subcategories help customers find their way to the products they're interested in. Categories are the highest level of organization and populate your navigation menu bar. Subcategories fall within categories, often as a drop-down.

If your store uses Cova or Greenline to manage products, any new categories you create in those systems won't be visible on your website until you have matched them to a Breadstack category. In other words, although customers will be able to find the products contained in those categories by searching your website, they won't be able to find them via your menu navigation.
Currently, you can map your Cova/Greenline categories to the following Breadstack categories: Accessories, Apparel, CBD, Clones, Concentrates, Edibles, Flower, Pre-Rolls, Seeds, Tinctures, Topicals, Uncategorized, Vaporizers.

Many of these categories feature optional subcategories.

Matching a new category

If you've added a new product category in Cova or Greenline, follow these steps to map it in Breadstack.
  1. Go to Settings > Retail > Stores and click on the store you want to edit.
  2. Scroll down to Product Category Matching and click Match Category.
  3. You'll see all your Cova/Greenline categories in the left-hand column. New, unmapped categories will be designated by a red dot.
  4. In the middle column, select a category to which you want to map the new Cova/Greenline category.
In this example, "Oils" has been mapped to "Concentrates".

  5. In the right-hand column, you have the option of selecting a sub-category. In the example below, Capsules, Gummies, and Chocolates have all been matched to the "Edibles" category, then further matched to distinct subcategories available under "Edibles" .

  6. When you're ready, click Save.  Refresh your website to ensure you can see the updates to your menu.

Hiding a category

In some cases, you may have a product category in Cova/Greenline that you want to hide from your website menu - for example, because you don't currently have any products for sale in that category. You can do this by mapping that category to an "Uncategorized" website category in Breadstack.
  1. Go to Settings > Retail > Stores and click on the store you want to edit.
  2. Scroll down to Product Category Matching and click Match Category.
  3. You'll see all your Cova/Greenline categories in the left-hand column. Find the category you would like to edit.
  4. In the middle column, select "Uncategorized" as your website category.
  5. When you're done, click Save
If you wish to make the category visible in the future, follow the process for Matching a new category.
