Connecting Breadstack Live Chat with Facebook

Connecting Breadstack Live Chat with Facebook

Easily integrate Facebook Messenger with your Breadstack live chat workspace. Any time a customer sends you a Facebook message, the conversation will show up as a new chat in Breadstack.

With all your communication channels in one place, you'll have an easier time following up on chats in a timely manner and keeping track of customer data.

Creating a new channel for Facebook Messenger

To integrate Facebook Messenger, you'll need to create a new channel in Breadstack. This channel will be dedicated to Facebook messages only.

  1. Go to Settings > Service, toggle to the Channels tab, and select Add Channel.
  2. You'll see a popup with a list of channel types. Select Facebook from the list.
  3. You'll be prompted to check that you meet the criteria for connecting Instagram. When you're ready, click Continue with Facebook and follow the Meta verification steps.
  4. When the Set up your channel popup appears, give your channel a name and image your team will recognize. Click Save.
  5. Check that your new channel is listed in Settings > Service under the Channels list.

Now that you've set up your Facebook channel, make it fully functional by assigning agents to it and customizing your welcome message.

Note that certain customization features are available for website channels, but not for social media channels. These include:
  1. Departments
  2. Auto-responses
  3. Custom hours (customers won't know when your agents are online or offline)
