Getting started

Getting started

Welcome to Breadstack - we're happy you're here! This guide will take you through the process of setting up your workspace.

Setting up your store

  1. Sync your eCommerce platform with Breadstack. This first step connects Breadstack to your store' website and PoS system so you can manage operations, track orders and customers, and view detailed analytics.
  2. Integrate fulfillment partners such as Breadstack DeliveryOnfleet, and ShipStation to ensure a smooth flow of fulfillment data.
  3. Review your store settings. If your store is on Cova or Greenline and uses WooCommerce, a number of settings will have carried over to Breadstack, but you can review and update them as needed. These include:
    1. Payment provider integrations - Depending on your store's platform, you may or may not manage these integrations in Breadstack.
    2. Tax classes for your products
  4. Add your warehouse(s). If your store is on Greenline or Cova, your warehouses will have synced to Breadstack automatically in step 1, but you can review and adjust their general details, fulfillment options, pickup and delivery hours, and other settings.
  5. Add your team members to come and work in Breadstack.

Setting up Breadstack Live Chat

  1. Connect your website to Breadstack to create a channel. Note that this step involves two parts: 1) configuring the connection in Breadstack; and 2) setting up the Breadstack widget on your website.
    1. Do your customers tend to contact you on social media? Learn how to  connect your Facebook or Instagram Messenger accounts to Breadstack as additional channels.
  2. Customize your channel's hours of operation.
  3. Add users to your channel by generating email invitations to your service team members.
    1. To serve customers more efficiently, organize your agents into departments based on areas of expertise. Customers can select a department when starting a chat, and the chat will immediately route to the agents in that department.
    2. You can also automate elements of your team's workflow to ensure common scenarios are handled quickly by the right agents for the job. Learn about creating auto-triggers.
  4. Encourage your team to get comfortable with Breadstack by exploring this help centre. Our article on answering chats is a great place to start.
Customize your chat widget
Your chat widget should help support a positive service experience for your customers. Here are a few ways to improve your widget:
  1. Craft a friendly, encouraging welcome message
  2. Choose the personal information fields customers must fill out in order to start chatting
  3. Set auto-responses to help manage customers' expectations while they wait for a reply
